Second day of '06 Update
Well in my second day of 2006 I had to work, but luckily got to watch a lot of football as I laid in bed til 1pm before I went in to the office.
So New Year's Eve was relatively quiet and not very eventful as usual. I went into Kansas City to Ellyn's parents house before leaving to pick up her boyfriend Nick (whom I was meeting for the first time) and heading to a New Year's party. We played some drinking games, counted down to one and toasted with some champagne. After hanging out for a while we ventured to another party which was completely opposite in atmosphere from the first. Finally heading back to Ellyn's parents house for bed.
On New Year's Day Ellyn's dad made breakfast and we watched some NFL action. Saw Brett Favre in what could have been his last game and saw Dick Vermeil cry as his Chiefs won their last game, unfortunately not making the playoffs. After having dinner I headed back to Lawrence and put in some time at work (freeing up my morning of laziness and football watching).
Overall the New Year was good and I got to spend time with good friends (not lonesomely in my apt.)
Today thus begins the countdown to the end of college football. (in general so far a good bowl season). We'll see how the rest of these bowl games end up.
{One note on the Rose Parade: raining so it ruined what was supposed to be a spiffed up parade and Toni Braxton and LeAnn Rimes not exactly spiffy enough.
