So yesterday my mom and I went shopping at the mall. We were out to find some trendy outfits/clothes/accesories for the trendy tech check look they want me to have for TV here at my job.

So not trying to break the bank, my mom suggested we go to Claire's to get some necklaces - which I could get to trendize the clothes I already own. I hadn't been to the store in forever, maybe since I was in early high school and it was cool to go hang out at the mall. I was suprised that the contents of the store had gotten a bit better, but at the expense of promotion and branding by teen pop princesses.

Yep Ashlee Simpson has a punky line of stuff, Hillary Duff not at gothic like stuff, The Olsen twins with jewelry plus other trikets and Niki Hilton with a bit of everything - not really that much of anything though.

As Cindy and I perused the stuff there was a few pieces in two of the collections that we liked. It was hillarious cause we first saw Ashlee then I was like, oh my gosh Hillary and so on. I joked that whatever I bought was going to be a fight between the divas. =)

So sadly I ended up buying a headband from Ashlee and a necklace from Hillary in addition to another necklace from the Claire's brand. I still laugh when I picture our shopping experience in that store. You could go check it out and laught for yourself.
