Well of course I am and today the Arizona Cardinals opened up their preseason. As I sat at work and watched the preshow and now watching game it is weird to think about rooting for another team.
The thing is Green Bay will always be my team, but you always want to pull for the home team. But now that I think about it I was never really into the Kansas City Chiefs. When I lived in St. Louis I rooted for them, but maybe as a bandwagon cause of their success they were having at that time. Who knows.
I am excited to go out and see the new stadium they have built for the team and hope the Matt Leinart hurries up and agrees to a contract so I can see him play. And maybe if I stay in Phoenix long enough I will become a Cardinals fan.
While the new arena and Leinart have created excitement and led to a sold-out season, people here aren't really fans of their team. In conversations I have had with people at the office, there seems to be an attitude that they will just flop again and so there aren't any expectations out there. And apparently even if they have a good preseason, which I guess they usually do, that doesn't mean anything for the season according to what people here think.
I am going to give them a chance, they looked pretty good against the defending Super Bowl champs in the first quarter. I mean red is my color.=)
