Just a little football note
So I have about 15 minutes before the news starts and have a minute on my busy boring Saturday at the lonely office to make this comment:
I was watching College Gameday preview show thingy and they were talking about Texas, repeat, post Mr. InVinceble and they sited some examples from the past two years exampling the fact that Vince, and him alone, won them a few games durng his career. Can you guess what one of those "without Vince they wouldn't have won games" was? Well your first thought probably was Texas v USC national championship, because it was the most recent, but you are incorrect. It is the one game that KU football will never live down and, even when they beat Texas, will always be mentioned when looking at the KU-Texas match-up. Yep, it is coming back to you, the game in Lawrence during the 2004 season where KU's defense let him slip through for (I believe) a 16-or-so-yard touchdown to seal the Texas victory. Yes, they did mention that today on College Gameday. If you were there you know and if you weren't you certainly remember Coach Magino's comments afterwards. So you can look at this two ways: one, do they have to keep rubbing salt in the wound or two, we were mentioned on College Gameday.
One week 'til the start of 2006 and the chance to hopefully make more happier moments.
