I have made a decision and I made it myself: I am moving to Phoenix

Yesterday, I got the unknown call from Phoenix, and it was Tina Tran offering me a job in Phoenix, Arizona. I counter offered on the salary and told her I needed to think about it and would speak with her today.

Recently I have been thinking, making the plus and minus columns and weighing the decision if the call should come. I suck at making decisions and this is a huge one to make. With all that has been going on in the week before I go on my trip to Europe this really is the last decision I needed to pile on my emotional, streesed out brain. But after calling my advisors (aka close friends and my parents) to ask their advice and discuss some other things that were on my mind it was on me to make the choice. Knowing that I would not be required to sign a contract and with a new challenging presenting itself I had to accept the position.

So I did and will be starting to work at KTVK on July 5. My last day at the Journal World will be June 28 (so I have a week and a half when I return from my trip). It will be sad to leave Lawrence, the Journal World and some people, but as I always say everything happens for a reason and so we'll see what this new step in my life has in store.

Yeah Natalie! I am thrilled for you. Sounds exciting, and what a great sendoff to Europe. The trip will be that much better knowing you are coming home to a fabulous new job in Phoenix!

I believe everything happens for a reason!

Somewhere along the road, somebody told me that if you awake in the morning and you find yourself breathing, you have something to live for. Live to breathe.

Now we can argue the quality of life issues associated with simply breathing and nothing else. But, if your motor is running, all you need to get it in gear and moving forward is will.

If you are breathing (and if you are reading this, you certainly are) and the spirits around you are showering their guidance down on you, just exercise your will to the fullest and you will find yourself achieving great things.

Obstacles: They exist to test of your will. Hit 'em hard and you will succeed. Just like in Super Mario Bros.

Buy me a cool t-shirt in Paris and bring it to Phoenix so I can give you some hugs.

Love,
